It won’t be long now and Chelsea will soon be out of the sanctions and able to operate in the transfer market.
They have been left behind by their rivals who have been making bids and sealing deals even despite the transfer window not being open yet.
Thomas Tuchel will be playing catch up when Chelsea are able to sign and sell players, and there will be some players leaving the club as well to help fund a rebuild this summer.
One player who has decided to leave is left back Marcos Alonso. Fabrizio Romano has one again confirmed that today. He says Alonso is ‘set to leave’ Chelsea this summer and wants to go to Barcelona.
The Catalan club are just waiting on Chelsea to let them know a fee, but he is already in advanced talks with Barcelona over personal terms.
Marcos Alonso has not changed his plans. He's set to leave Chelsea this summer – he wants to return to Spain and Barcelona are in advanced talks on personal terms, but still waiting for price tag. 🔵🇪🇸 #CFC
