Report says Todd Boehly is aware of one urgent task when he takes control at Chelsea

There will certainly be more than one urgent task to address when Todd Boehly and his consortium take the reigns at Chelsea this week, but perhaps some might be seen as more urgent than others.

We are seeing the effects of not taking action on these types of things early doors, with the likes of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger being able to walk away from the club as free agents at the end of next month.

Seven alternative defensive midfielders to Rice and Tchouameni that Chelsea may look at.

The club will want to avoid situations like this and according to The Daily Mail, Todd Boehly is aware of the urgency to tie down Reece James and Mason Mount to new contract extensions as soon as possible.

But James says there is nothing going on with his contract as of yet, but of course, Boehly has not officially been confirmed as the new owner at the club yet, that is expected to happen any day now.
