Chelsea Football Club are still under sanctions due to Roman Abramovich still being our official owner.
Whatever your views on that are, it has been having a number of ludicrous fallouts that continue to effect the every day employees at the club and the players. People just like you and me who have absolutely zero to do with the war in the Ukraine.

The latest issue that has come from the sanctions is Chelsea announcing that they cannot hold the usual Player of the Season awards ceremony that they hold every year, meaning the players and staff will miss out. How is any of this their fault? Yet, they’re now all suffering as well one way or another.
The Chelsea website says that due to the terms of the UK Government licence, an annual awards evening will not be held this year.
As soon as the club is officially in new hands, the sanctions on them will no longer apply. Sheer madness.
What role has the English FA played thus far in this debacle. Was there any meetings with Government officials as to work unilaterally to quell this obvious impact on the Club. Is it truly Abramovich that is being sanctioned or CFC. There is no way that prior to these sanctions being put into effect the Government would be unaware of the effect it would have on the Club Staff and all other stakeholders in CFC. Chelsea has a new record to add to their name. The only Club to be defeated off the Pitch. Whats next Relegation.
