As the days go by we are starting to hear more and more on the potential new owners of Chelsea FC.
More details have been released on each of the four shortlisted final bidders to get the club and perhaps more importantly, who will be the main investors in each group and where the money will be coming from.
One outsider to buy Chelsea building a VERY strong group
Todd Boehly’s group have largely been considered as the favourites and most popular amongst a number of Chelsea fans, and it is his group that have gained media attention today.
It’s been revealed by Sky News that one of his main investors, Clearlake Captial, will hold over 50% ownership of Chelsea if this group is to be successful.
The report also says that even though they will have the majority stakes in the club, it will be Boehly who would still have would have “operational control” of Chelsea.
Boehly is said to be close friends and partners with those at Clearlake.
