Chelsea’s last first team signing admits he would like to be playing more

Chelsea didn’t make one signing for their first team during the January transfer window, only a couple into the academy and a loan recall.

This means that the last player The Blues signed to come into their senior squad is the loan signing of Atletico Madrid midfielder, Saul Niguez.

It would be amazing if you guys subscribed for my project over at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, where we are putting out so much Chelsea content including DAILY Newsletters, exclusive news, breaking news, Podcasts, interviews, inside information, and bringing in some massive guests!

The Spanish international was the subject of the summer’s transfer window deadline day drama as he got his deal pushed through in the final moments.

But things have been far from dreamy for him since he arrived at the club, and he has fallen way down the pecking order under Thomas Tuchel.

Recently his performances have been much better and he is likely to get more minutes here and there, but I don’t think anyone believes he will be having a Chelsea career beyond the summer.

Saul himself admits he would like to be playing more, but understands the difficulty in such a quality squad, as seen here…
