Chelsea’s scouts are often reportedly watching many talents in Ligue 1 over in France, and this weekend they were there watching one player in particular.
The Blues have an extensive scouting network based all around the world, so it is nothing new to hear that they are following assignments in France.

But interestingly enough, this is a new player to be linked with Chelsea, and a player who Newcastle United tried hard to sign in January but didn’t pull it off.
We are of course talking about 19-year old Hugo Ekitike, who continues his brilliant form for Stade Reims.
According to 90min, Chelsea had scouts at his game this weekend as they contemplate making a move for the rising star themselves.
The striker, capped at France U20 level, is a very sought-after talent and has been linked with the majority of the top sides in the Premier League.
One to watch for sure.
