Thomas Tuchel has been addressing the media this afternoon ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup match against Chesterfield tomorrow evening.
We are now well into January and this means that Chelsea have three current key defenders being able to talk to and agree pre-contracts with new clubs ahead of joining them in the summer when they become free agents.

We are yet to be any closer to any firm conclusions on the futures of Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta, or Antonio Rudiger.
But it is the latter who Tuchel gave an update on today in the press conference when asked about the future of Rudiger.
The German coach sounded confident in his response and says that he trusts his board and he trusts his player to get the situation sorted out.
He reiterated that as well by saying just how important Rudiger is the the team and to the club.
"He’s very important we are in talks, it’s in good hands I trust the club 100% and have trust in my player. It’s a no problem situation for me.”
