Part of the reason that Timo Werner’s struggles at Chelsea are so painful is because he’s just so lovable.
The Chelsea TV team have long ago caught onto that, and they wheel him out for videos all the time. The latest is a really interesting extended interview where he explains how he first fell in love with the game.
Let’s hope he can rediscover that joy soon, the team desperately needs goals, good play, and most importantly – good vibes. Things are glum, and a couple of goals and a big smile from Timo would be huge.
