Chelsea are still attempting to recall Emerson Palmieri from his loan spell with Lyon.
The Italian international is currently on a season long loan deal with the French club, who also have an option to buy him in the summer.

Chelsea do not have a recall option, with Lyon rejecting that in the initial negotiations in the summer, according to L’Equipe, as cited by Get French Football.
So this means the ball is firmly in the court of Lyon, but Chelsea are still trying to negotiate a compensation fee with them, which they have so far rejected.
The report claims that privately Emerson has said he prefers to stay at Lyon for the season, even if he is tempted by returning to the Premier League and that is what he entourage are leaning towards.
Lyon want to keep good relations with Chelsea, so there could soon be a solution here.
