Another shocking 45 minutes tonight relegates him to the back of the pecking order once again, and it’s hard to see him getting any minutes once the rest of our midfield is fit.
Asked where Saul would go from here, manager Thomas Tuchel said he “didn’t know”. He waffled on about playing him at left back, but it was clear what was hanging in the air.
