Chelsea consider sending midfielder back to his parent club in January

Chelsea are reportedly considering making a couple of big major transfer decisions in the January transfer window.

Thomas Tuchel has been struggling to fill a midfield in recent weeks with injuries and of course more recently, Covid-19 cases.

One midfielder who has been in the ranks and stayed fit is Saul Niguez, but often, even in the last game against Wolves, Tuchel has opted to use other players out of position, like Trevoh Chalobah, rather than put trust in Saul.

So it is not surprising to see reports that the Spanish international could be sent back to his parent club this winter, but only if they will plan on playing him. This is because you can only play for two clubs in one season, so he will stay at Chelsea otherwise, according to 90min.

They also claim that Chelsea are looking to sign Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni in January instead.
