Chelsea won the inaugural “club of the year” award at the France Football Ballon d’Or shebang last night, and coach Thomas Tuchel was asked about it today.
He noted that everyone was very proud – especially pointing to the success of the Women’s team which did it’s part alongside the men to make the Blues the outstanding candidates for the award.
As always, he didn’t soak up the success for too long – he right away said they were all aiming to win it again next year. With him and Emma Hayes in charge, we must be favourites.
You can see the manager speaking in the clip embedded here:
🗣"Of course it's a nice award because it's a team effort. Full credit to the owner and everybody in charge, we are trying our best to continue and maybe win this award again."
