Timo Werner made his first start for Chelsea after a spell out with injury, and he didn’t play well.
Speaking on Sky Sports after the game, former Blues striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was scathing of the German’s performance.
“Poor with the ball, without the ball,” the Dutchman commented, before going into more detail about what the former Leipzig man needs to do better.
It was an odd call to start him, and he wasn’t at his best. Too often he drifted out wide, leaving nobody in the box to attack the United goal.
