Trevoh Chalobah has agreed a new contract at Chelsea, the club have announced.
It wasn’t expected so imminently, but defender’s break into the first team this season will have moved forward plans to reward him with a new long term deal.
Chalobah gets a four and a half year deal after showing the world that he’s ready to play for Chelsea already. Originally expected to go out on loan this season, the defender impressed in the UEFA Super Cup against Villarreal in August and hasn’t looked back since.

He has ten appearances already this season, proving his worth as a capable backup to the first choice trio at centre back.
His older brother Nathaniel never really got the chance he deserved, so we’re delighted Trev has broken through. What could have ended up as another season grinding on loan has turned into a huge success, and it’s all thanks to his skill and hard work.
