“It has to be a goal” – Former Blue says Chelsea should have scored

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is a man who knows a thing or two about finding the net at Stamford Bridge after years of netting for Chelsea, and speaking as a pundit on Sky this evening he admitted he was shocked that Antonio Rudiger missed a late chance to win the game for the home side.

“It has to be a goal,” Jimmy despaired.

You can see the former Blue speaking in the clip embedded here:

He’s right of course – Rudiger had more time than he thought, and he could have headed it, picked his spot, or even taken a touch.

Instead, he was gripped with panic and skied the ball into the Matthew Harding with the last kick of the game.

His team didn’t create enough at all in the game, so it shouldn’t have come down to that, but it did. And as Jimmy says, if you want to win games like this, that HAS to be a goal.
