Thomas Tuchel is always very open and honest in his interviews, and today he was interesting on the subject of Romelu Lukaku.
The striker hasn’t quite been at his sharpest in recent weeks, and Tuchel commented that he thought the striker has been “overplayed” through the summer. The manager said he was both mentally and physically tired.
The only solution to that is a rest – could we be seeing Timo Werner up front alone tomorrow against Malmo? If we don’t rest him for that, it will be hard to find another chance to do so.
