Two Chelsea stars set to miss 8 big games this season straight after Christmas

There is a situation brewing amongst Premier League teams this season that is going to be far from ideal.

The importance of having a big and good squad for many teams is going to really come in to play after Christmas this season, especially for Chelsea.

It would be amazing if you guys subscribed for my project over at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, where we are putting out so much Chelsea content including DAILY Newsletters, exclusive news, breaking news, Podcasts, interviews, inside information, and bringing in some massive guests!

In fact, it will be the importance of Kepa Arrizabalaga being able to step up to become the Chelsea number one goalkeeper in the absence of Edouard Mendy, who has been absolutely colossal between the sticks for The Blues since he arrived last summer.

But the African Cup of Nations is fast approaching, and according to a report from The Athletic, players playing in this competition will be leaving soon after the final whistle on Boxing Day and some may not fly back until the second week of February.

This means they could end up missing 6 Premier League games and 2 FA Cup games.

Mendy will be off with Senegal, and Hakim Ziyech could be off with Morocco.

It will be a great chance for Kepa to show what he can do though.
