Chelsea defender growing frustrated with club after ‘lack of effort’ in contract talks

Chelsea have a number of players with contracts running down this summer and players who’s futures they are yet to tie up.

It’s risky business allowing these contract talks to go into January, because this is when rules allow players to speak with and agree pre-contracts with other clubs to join them as a free agent in the summer.

It would be amazing if you guys subscribed for my project over at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, where we are putting out so much Chelsea content including DAILY Newsletters, exclusive news, breaking news, Podcasts, interviews, inside information, and bringing in some massive guests!

The last thing you want is a player or two in your squad that already have their minds elsewhere on their new clubs.

Antonio Rudiger is one of these, and according to BILD’s Christian Falk, as cited by Sport Witness today, the German international is growing frustrated with the ‘lack of effort’ Chelsea are showing in the contract talks and ‘very little’ has happened since the initial talks.

He claims that the offer Chelsea put on the table was not good enough for Rudiger and nothing has happened since then.
