Antonio Rudiger is having a brilliant game at the back for Chelsea, but it was in attack that he’s made his most memorable contribution tonight.
The defender was clearly frustrated by the pedestrian possession in front of him, and he took off running with no warning early in the second half to try and get his team going.
The Germany international surged forward with great pace, weaving between defenders, and found himself with a sight of goal – only to scrape one just wide.
It was very reminiscent of Kurt Zouma’s effort against Ajax.
