Chelsea are really getting through the outgoing transfers now, and they’ve just announced their latest one.
Davide Zappacosta has never really looked like getting into the first team after arriving in 2017, and a couple of bad injuries really held him back.
He worked his way back to form on loan at Genoa last season, and clearly impressed enough in Serie A to get Atalanta’s interest.
Thank you and good luck, @DZappacosta. 👊

Chelsea have just announced that they’ve sold Zappa permanently. It’s not clear what the full back will cost them, but it’s likely to be less than what we bought him for all those years ago.
Still, it’s nice to have him off our books, clearing room for the next generation of young talents to come through and take his place. We wish Davide a rich and injury free career for years to come.
He leaves with a UEFA Cup and an FA Cup to his name.
Goodbye #ChelseaFC what an amazing journey! One FA Cup, one UEFA Cup, wearing this colours gives you a special emotion! Thank you for everything and best of luck for the future. Zap pic.twitter.com/77WAfzNvcy
