You quite often get the domino affect in football transfers, and it looks like Chelsea could be stopping Tottenham from making a major new signing themselves due to their activity.
The Blues are close to announcing Romelu Lukaku as a new Chelsea player pending a medical, but it is this move that might stop Spurs signing Lautaro Martinez.
Both strikers currently play for Inter Milan, and as Lukaku is now so close to joining Chelsea, they now want to keep Martinez at the club and don’t want to sell both, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Spurs made an offer days ago, but now Inter are saying he is not for sale, pipping their hopes of landing him this summer.
