Chelsea are in the midst of working on a number of player sales out of the club over the last few days and coming weeks.
The Blues are sorting a number of permanent and loan deals to thin out the squad and balance the books financially.
They have a lot of players who are not really as involved as they wish to be in the squad, so the time is right to move on.
However, some of these deals are only loan deals as I mentioned above, and I’m sure for all parties a permanent move for the likes of Emerson Palmieri would be preferred right now.
But in a tough financial situation after the pandemic, a loan is all that some clubs can afford to get players in.

Lyon are trying to loan Emerson from Chelsea, according to Foot Mercato.
They also say that so Chelsea don’t lose him on a free next summer when his contract runs out, they have already extended his deal until 2023.
Chelsea must not make the mistake of out right sale for Emerson.
