Chelsea fans were treated to some pretty exciting breaking transfer news yesterday, and it really came out of the blue.
All the talk was about a potential new striker with Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku the two names mentioned the most, and Chelsea could certainly still be signing one of these or another striker.
However, the breaking news was about the club being in advanced negotiations to sign Sevilla centre back, Jules Kounde, who is a very sought-after rising star.
The 22-year old France international is ‘waiting to join Chelsea’ now as the deal to sign him is ‘progressing’.
That is according to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, who broke the news of Chelsea’s talks to sign Kounde yesterday.
Kurt Zouma looks likely to be added into the deal to bring the fee down, with Chelsea offering him and at least 30 million euros to Sevilla in return for Kounde.
It isn’t ‘here we go’ just yet, but it might be soon!
