Thomas Tuchel delighted with Reece James, Hakimi not replacing him

If, and this is a very big if, but if Chelsea manage to pull off the signing of Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan this summer, he is not coming in to replace Reece James.

There is no way you would have missed all the rumours suggesting Chelsea have made an offer to sign the 22-year old right-sided player today, literally every outlet has picked it up now.

It caused a stir on social media from some Chelsea fans feeling the frustrations of trying to spend big on a player who plays in the same position as James.

However, reliable reporter Matt Law has looked to squash that right away and in his report of Chelsea moving for Hakimi on The Telegraph, he says that he will NOT be coming in as a replacement for the England international.

Tuchel wants a right-side player, says the report, but it is not to replace James, and Tuchel has been delighted with the youngster this season.
