Chelsea players Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell will miss England’s last group match against Czech Republic this evening, and potentially more.
In what seems like a ridiculous and unfair decision that has no common sense or any logic at all, Public Health England along with the English FA have decided that Mount and Chilwell must self-isolate for speaking to Billy Gilmour for 20 minutes at the end of the England and Scotland match on Friday.
We can confirm that @BenChilwell and @masonmount_10 must isolate up to and including Monday 28 June. This decision has been taken in consultation with Public Health England.

Of course, Gilmour since tested positive for Covid-19, but both Mount and Chilwell have since returned two negative tests, but still they must ludicrously self-isolate.
Funnily enough, none of the Scotland players or staff, who would have spent MUCH longer with Gilmour in the changing rooms after, in the showers, on the team bus, at the hotel etc etc etc etc, have to self-isolate.
It’s absolutely absurd, and you can just tell both Mount and Chilwell are fully holding back with what they’d really like to say in their reactions here…
