Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has completed a loan move to Huddersfield Town for the season to come after signing a new contract at Chelsea.
The centre back has looked excellent in the youth teams for years now, and this season in particular looked to have raised his profile significantly and convinced teams in the second tier he’s ready to start senior football at that level.

It’s a big vote of confidence in Colwill and his abilities, as well as a further endorsement of the Chelsea academy system, which is now just printing out Championship level teenagers at an astonishing rate. In 5 years time, it’s scary to think how many of them could be playing in the Premier League or top flights across Europe.
Let’s hope Levi can have the same success that Marc Guehi has had in the same division with Swansea this season, setting himself up for a Premier League move in the near future – and potentially even a place in Chelsea’s squad.
