Chelsea’s Champions League final kits confirmed

Chelsea have a lot to worry about when they face Manchester City on Saturday, but one thing they can feel comfortable in is the strip they’re wearing.

Caughtoffside have today confirmed, via Mat Critchley, that Chelsea will be in their traditional “royal” blue, while Manchester City will wear their famous “sky” blue equivalent.

Chelsea will have their white socks on, and City will wear their darker blue ones.

We had been worried there might be some temptation to use next season’s kits, as we did in the FA Cup final, but this year’s edition has been given one final runout, which gives a more satisfying sense of continuity to the whole campaign.

Changing now would seem like tempting fate.

Let’s hope this is the kit in the photos of Azpi lifting the trophy on the front page of every paper on Sunday, and on the walls of Stamford Bridge for generations to come.

  3. That’s why they lost the FA cup. That’s what happens when they care more about money, forcing the new kit before the season ends.
