Thomas Tuchel didn’t want to get overexcited about today’s win, and perhaps that’s understandable given what happened last weekend.
He couldn’t deny his team were brilliant for long periods, and he picked out their intensity and pressing in the first 30 minutes for particular praise.
He describe their attitude as “very hungry, very aggressive,” and that’s exactly what we love to see from our team. Of course they eased off as the game went on – but when you’re winning comfortably that’s just inevitable.
Now let’s go out and do it again on Tuesday…
