After yesterday’s draw with Real Madrid, the focus has been on our attacking players who couldn’t quite get the job done. Several really promising attacks came to nothing, and Thomas Tuchel was left regretting his team’s inefficiency.
Speaking after the game though, defender Andreas Christensen acknowledged that Madrid’s goal came from their only real chance. “We have to be sharper at both ends” he said, and he’s got a point. Yes we should have scored more, but we would have won either way if he and his colleagues had been able to keep a clean sheet.
