Chelsea interested in world-class Bundesliga striker

Another transfer window, and Chelsea are in pursuit of another new big name striker.

Last summer it was the same story, and it was Timo Werner who ended up arriving from RB Leipzig to fix a lack of goal-scoring problem.

However, here we are again, the summer transfer window is fast approaching, and Matt Law of the Telegraph is reporting that the club are prioritising a big name new striker this window.

Werner is perhaps not doing enough to prove the hierarchy that he is all they need, and there are doubts over the futures of both Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud.

Both could leave this summer, reports Law, and Chelsea are eyeing Erling Haaland, or Romelu Lukaku to replace them.

Interestingly, Law also names Bayern Munich’s world class striker Robert Lewandowski as an option, citing German reports claiming Chelsea’s interest in signing him.

Certainly a situation that seems to be bubbling up by the day.
