Thomas Tuchel has just had his press conference after the win over Everton, and the Chelsea boss was asked about Christian Pulisic, who came on as a sub tonight but has only started once under the new coach.
Tuchel said it was just a selection issue, and widened the point out to be an “apology” to Emerson Palmieri, Tammy Abraham and all the others who aren’t getting any minutes at the moment.
It’s one of the few downsides of being in such superb form, and having such a deep squad.
