You may have seen rumours linking two Chelsea defenders to getting new deals with the club over the past couple of days.
Well, although The Athletic acknowledges these stories, they claim that they have not heard anything of such potential talks.

We are of course talking about Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger, who both have contracts at the club running out in 2022.
However, the report claims that news of Rudiger and Christensen being in talks for new Chelsea contracts is ‘news to those close to the pair.’
They say that no discussions over an extension have taken place with either of them and neither camp has been given any indication of their intention to do so yet.
Well, this certainly isn’t ruling out that the club are planning to offer them new deals of course, but I guess we will have to wait and see what happens with this situation over the coming months.
