The balls are out of the bucket, and Chelsea got a good one.
After sweeping past Atletico Madrid in the round of 16, the Blues have been handed an arguably easier draw for the quarter finals. Porto did heroically to get past Juventus in the last round, but they’re the weakest team left in this competition, and they were the side everyone wanted to draw.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have been getting better and better, and by the time these games roll around we could really be ticking. Our big squad is proving a huge advantage, and our resources are on another level to those of even a historic team like Porto.
Things will get a lot trickier if we get past them however – the luck of the draw has given us the winner of the juicy Real Madrid – Liverpool tie in the semi finals, should be make it that far.
Bring it on.
