Chelsea’s head to head vs Porto is positive and dates back to 2004

You will all have seen by now that Chelsea have been drawn against Portuguese side Porto in the quarter finals of the Champions League, with the games set to be played in April.

Porto were largely considered as the ‘easiest’ draw to get by most people, although there are certainly not any ‘easy’ teams in this stage of the Champions League that’s for sure.

Porto are currently second in Primeira Liga ten points off top spot, but this tie is never going to easy.

The Blues have faced Porto 8 times in their history dating back to their first Champions League meeting in 2004, which Chelsea won 3-1.

The last time they met was in 2015 in the Champions League again, which Chelsea also won 2-0.

It’s a positive head to head for Chelsea, who have won 5 of their meetings, drawn 1, and only lost 2 times.

Let’s hope we can keep that going over the next two meetings next month!
