Chelsea put striker contract talks on hold

Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel will be sitting down and looking at potential summer transfer plans as we speak, with a number of players surely on the agenda.

The Blues have been linked with a number of potential new signings being targeted this summer, with the striker area being mentioned often once again.

There are potential doubts over the future of Olivier Giroud, whose contract runs out this summer, and Tammy Abraham’s future is also in doubt.

He has a year left on his contract come the summer, and as things stand he doesn’t look to be largely favoured by Tuchel.

According to ESPN, Chelsea and Abraham have put contract talks on hold right now as a few disputes over things such as wages continue on.

The report says both parties are now likely to wait until the end of the season before reviewing the situation.

It doesn’t look great for his Chelsea future, especially if he continues to lack game time from now until the summer.
