Chelsea would be mad to let Abraham go – but striker is perfect solution for West Ham

The rumours about Tammy Abraham’s potential move away from Chelsea are gathering speed as he nears the last year of his contract, and the fact that the forward wasn’t included in the squad for the Manchester United game has accelerated them further.

We weren’t too convinced by the specific of some of the early links, but the rumoured move to West Ham that’s been around today seems to make a depressing amount of sense.

They’re doing well, they’ve got money, and they just need a striker to fill in for the departed Sebastian Haller. Tammy would fit the bill perfectly, and we can see him doing really well there.

Some insist on doing him down, but he scores goals and gets results, and in this pragmatic West Ham team under David Moyes, we can see him being a smash success.

All the more reason to sign him up to a long contract and keep him at Stamford Bridge…
