Chelsea frontrunners to sign former Thomas Tuchel player

It was always inevitable that Chelsea would start to be linked with players that Thomas Tuchel has formerly managed, that’s quite natural.

Often these links come to nothing, but they also quite often do turn out to happen. Sometimes a manager will have that favourite player who he would always jump at the chance to bring with him wherever he goes.

I also have some significant exclusive news on Chelsea’s pursuits of Erling Haaland and Gianluigi Donnarumma here.

Well, that man today is Tuchel’s former player from Dortmund, Mahmoud Dahoud, according to a report from The Daily Mail.

The 25-year old will have a year left on his current contract in Germany this summer, and Chelsea are frontrunners alongside Manchester City to land him on a cheap deal, per the report.

Dahoud is a German international and he plays as mainly a centre midfielder, but can also operate as a defensive midfielder.

As I said, these links are always quite obvious and will often pop up, so I’d take it with a pinch of salt.
