Chelsea will have a number of big decisions to make in the centre back area in the coming months as we approach the summer transfer window.
There is Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta, and Antonio Rudiger who all have contracts running out in 2022, and Kurt Zouma is not really appearing at all for them now since Thomas Tuchel took over.

As well as that, we are still getting constant reports that Chelsea will be investing in a new centre back this summer, with The Athletic wading in with their latest report today.
They claim the club want to sign an imposing centre-back, one that can lead and dominate the backline.
On the list they mention Bayern Munich’s Niklas Sule, RB Liepzig’s Ibrahima Konate, and Atletico Madrid’s Jose Gimenez as three of the names under consideration.
Chelsea also made an enquiry for David Alaba but he wasn’t interested in the move and his wages were also too much for Chelsea.
