N’Golo Kante has become Chelsea’s “closer” as it were, a player who comes on late in games to lock them down.
Today he did that job perfectly, and didn’t look to have broken a sweat as he shut down a 2-0 lead until the final whistle.
After time was up, his manager Thomas Tuchel was on the pitch grabbing him and trying to fire him up about something. He didn’t manage it, but there were smiles all round. Spirits are high, and even those not starting games have grins on their faces it seems.
