Thomas Tuchel has been extremely upbeat and positive since taking over at Chelsea, but today we saw perhaps the first crack in his optimistic exterior.
He sounded frustrated when interviewed after the 0-0 draw between his team and Manchester United, and insisted that Chelsea “were closer to win it.”
That’s probably fair – Man U had a great penalty shout, but from open play the Blues had the better of the game. They just didn’t have that star quality in the final third – once again.
No wonder TT isn’t happy.
