Thomas Tuchel watches Chelsea u18s play an in-house match

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel faced up to the media once again this afternoon ahead of their game against Tottenham in the Premier League tomorrow night.

Well, not only has Tuchel been invested in watching Chelsea closely for some years now, he is also invested in the academy.

So much so, that he admitted in his press conference today that he watched a Chelsea u18s game ‘from the balcony’ due to covid restrictions. The lads were playing an in-house match and Tuchel said he was impressed with what he saw.

The German says he is pleased with the quality he saw and the physicality of the young players and believes they are ready for the Premier League.

This will be great motivation for the young lads hoping to break into the first team, knowing they are being watched closely by Tuchel.
