Chelsea are 2-0 up, and this game is over.
It was – inevitably – Marcos Alonso who scored the second. The forgotten man, frozen out by Frank Lampard, was restored to the starting lineup by Thomas Tuchel, and he celebrated his return to the team by finishing off Burnley.
He took a ball on his chest, controlled it down onto his knee, and then volleyed it past a helpless Nick Pope. Boom. Everyone gets a fresh start with the new manager in place, and so far Alonso is really making the most of it.
You can see the superb goal in the clip embedded here:
Marcos Alonso that is special 🤩
Chelsea's right-back opened the scoring, but it was the left-back who sealed the deal!
Any striker would be proud of that finish 🔥 pic.twitter.com/vKnPo4ScLA
