It’s taken almost the whole first half, but Chelsea finally have the lead against Burnley.
Fittingly it was captain Cesar Azpilicueta, restored to the team by new manager Thomas Tuchel, who got it. He ran the length of the pitch as Chelsea broke and got on the end of Callum Hudson-Odoi’s pass to the outside.
The angle was tight but a solid connection on the ball – plus a touch off Clarets defender Erik Pieters – was all that was needed to take the ball past Nick Pope.
