Report: Petr Cech delivered news of Lampard’s sacking to the players, Tuchel must aim for title this season

Chelsea confirmed the sacking of Frank Lampard and his assistant Jody Morris yesterday morning in news that shocked the world of football.

It had a sense that the pressure was on and Lampard was hanging by a very thin thread, but they had just beaten Luton Town to advance to the FA Cup 5th round, so the announcement coming right after that was not expected.

It makes you feel like the decision had already been made, but perhaps the club were waiting to get more advanced with the hiring of Thomas Tuchel, which could be confirmed any moment now.

Tuchel is expected to challenge for the title this season, according to a report from The Sun, which really is some massive task.

They also claim that is was Petr Cech that addressed players before training at 2pm to explain the situation and Lampard’s sacking. That was then followed up by Marina Granovskaia speaking to them.

  1. The sacking has been done, lets look ahead, and you need to work on the defense department, because most at times the defense had been the problem in our team, something should be done immediately.up the blues.

  2. I think Abramovich it is totally wrong he never gives any manager time, we have had the best in the world and he sacks them whether they win a league, a cup or don’t win. Any manager that comes to us must be mad they only come because they know in the end they will get a big payout when sacked. I wish Frank all the best for the future because he is better than any of that lot

  3. The sacking was expected since early December when the team’s performance was deteriorating with every game. You can’t blame Abromovic with all the money he’s spent and watch his team’s poor performance. You cannot say a struggle win against Luton town is a win that should save Lampard’s job

  4. This is not how to treat our hero for all Frank did for our club back over the years he loves chelsea an given time with new players an the young he would of proved himself good luck Frank with where ever you go il be with you an support you xx
