No Manchester United talks with Moisés Caicedo, but Chelsea have held discussions

Some whispers recently suggested that Manchester United were close to signing the 19-year old Ecuadorian international, but this is not the case according to a report from local Ecuador media El Telegrafo.

They say no discussions have taken place between the two parties, but Chelsea have held talks, as well as Ajax.

Furthermore, Ecuadorian Journalist Jose Carlo Crespo has claimed that an English club is close to signing Caicedo.

There has yet to be a lot of mainstream UK media reporting on Chelsea’s interest in the Independiente midfielder (all bar a recent report from The Daily Mail), but the reports from local media would suggest that this could certainly be a story that Chelsea fans will want to keep an eye on.
