Frank Lampard explains why it is ‘impossible’ to keep all his players happy

Blues boss Frank Lampard took to the cameras today for the first time since the 3-1 loss to Manchester City on Sunday.

Naturally, there were questions related to the amount of pressure he is under right now as Chelsea manager off the back of a bad run of form.

Which players could be leaving Chelsea this month? Find out here!

Reports have been rife ever since regarding the growing pressure Lampard is now facing, and the importance of winning the next handful of matches in order to relief said pressure.

One of the aspects has been players becoming unhappy in the camp, which was always going to happen with such a large squad.

Lampard said that he finds it ‘impossible’ to keep all of his players happy, purely because he has ‘more non-starters’ than he does ‘starters.’

He also spoke about the mounting pressure.

“I came into this job expecting pressure,” Lampard said.

“I understand the expectations, I never expected an easy run.”

Chelsea should really have sold/loaned many more players than they did over the summer, this would have helped ease this situation a little bit.
