News broke over the weekend that Chelsea were interested in signing Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.
BILD reporter Christian Falk ran the story and claimed that Alaba’s Agent will meet with Chelsea in January to discuss a potential deal.

Spanish publication AS then got in on the action and added further information to the report.
They claim that Alaba has decided not to accept Bayern’s renewal offer, and Chelsea will meet with his representatives in January. He will listen to what they have to say and appreciates the interest from Frank Lampard.
But today Sky Germany have rubbished those claims and say that Alaba has no plans to talk with Chelsea in January, and the Blues have not registered an interest in signing him.
So who is telling the truth here!? Well, let’s just say that all three of these outlets have been known to get things very wrong in the past, but they’ve also been known to be correct as well, so we’ll leave the verdict to you!
