Juventus make contact to sign Chelsea striker

Well, it is inevitable that this transfer story will become one of the biggest of the January transfer window, and it has a real feeling of we have been here before.

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud will be the subject of interest from many clubs this winter as they look to pounce on the current situation at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are in pole position to sign David Alaba, full story HERE.

Giroud is highly likely to ask for a move this January, due to only playing a bit-part role at the club. This is not enough, he will need regular game time so he can be ready to lead the forward line for France in the Euros this summer.

As it was during last January, it appears inevitable that Giroud will leave Chelsea. But Frank Lampard will of course have to agree to the move, and I am not so sure he will.

Juventus are already trying though, they have made contacts to sign Giroud already, according to Calciomercato.

This could well spark movements from other interested parties as well.
