Thiago Silva has a one year deal with Chelsea, with the option of a year’s extension, and as it stands there seems little double the club will use it.
He’s been great for Frank Lampard’s team so far, and his age doesn’t seem like it’s holding him back at all.
According to a report on Sky Sports News today, there is little doubt that the option will be exercised, it’s just a question of when – they say it might not be until the New Year.
It makes sense – why rush when the option is there to be triggered whenever we like?
