Chelsea have spoken to two of their first team players to remind them of the Covid-19 restrictions currently in place and the importance of adhering to them.
According to Sky Sports, winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, and defender Fikayo Tomori breached protocols last month by going on a night out in central London.
Chelsea were forced to remind the pair of their responsibilities, and both players had apologised for their actions.
They are believed to have told the club they misunderstood the regulations that were in place at the time.
Sky say this is the second time Hudson-Odoi has breached coronavirus rules, having previously been spoken to by Frank Lampard for inviting a woman to his apartment during the first lockdown in May.
It’s a concerning bit of behaviour from the youngster, who is trying hard to earn a more regular place in Lampard’s starting line up.
But it sparks the thoughts that perhaps these little incidents are behind some of the reasoning he is seemingly largely being ignored by Lampard at the moment.
